What Santa Brought

Woolworth: Looks like Greek to me.
Me: It would help if the book weren't upside down!

As I happen to have a direct line to Santa, I asked for a knitting book that would challenge me. Well he did a very good job in that respect and gave me Latvian Mittens by Lizbeth Upitis. It's challenging enough that I may even like making mittens. Now that would be something!

There are many changes going on at the casa of my stash. I've got a second part time job and I've registered for a night class to get me back into the swing of things academically. I'm planning on returning to school full time....I have no idea when I'm going to find the time to knit now and that's a scary thought.

Until next time
Yours in Yarn,
The Fibreholic

That looks like an amazing book. I hope you are sufficiently challenged by some scrumptious mittens!
We're companions in the night school/returning to full/time school adventure. I wish you luck and unexpected time to knit.

Maybe you can knit in class, if you're only sitting. Train the professors early. Good luck.

That would be totally awful if you cannot knit. You are way to talented to let it stop. Looks like no time to sleep for you anymore. lol. Good luck with school though.

Oooohhh, that is a very scary thought.... no knitting. Yikes! But school is good - what will you be doing?

Im very much looking forward to what you produce from that book! Lucky you, it looks fab.

Going back to school sounds scary but exciting - no knitting time is definately not exciting! Invest in a recorder of some sort so you dont have to take notes and sit back and knit!

Those mittens look like they'll be very cool, in a warm and wooly sort of way.

Congrats on the back to school thing. I keep thinking I'd like to go back but it never quite works out right. As for the knitting, use a tape recorder to tape your lectures and knit (discreetly) in the back of the class!

That picture was just too clever! :) Latvian mittens sound wonderful and it brings good memories as well. A friend of ours lives in Latvia and attended a military school here. What a nice person! I know what you mean about being so busy! I started back to school full time while I was still working a full time job and had a very little one at home yet. I am still plugging away at it and have a little over a year left but have dropped back to pt as homeschooling the kids, church, choir and all the other things I am involved in are keeping me ohhhh so busy! ;) Just remember to make a few minutes to relax every now and then! :)
