- A well....check
- Electricity......check
- A working pump......now here comes my sob story
Do you understand what I am going through? I turn on a tap....no water. This means no showers or even flushing the toilet. People...I am reduced to melting snow to flush because I don't want either of my washrooms to smell like an Ontario Provincial Park outhouse. This is desperation! I am in such need of some chocolate right about now.
When I think that I could sink no lower...I wonder what will happen if DH can't get the pump working by tomorrow....I have to go to work!!!!
I other news, I've put the tank aside for a few days. It mocks me mercilessly. I do my best to ignore it as I work on a cardi with Cleckheaton country silk. I am so looking forward to adding the cardi to my wardrobe that I will suffer through the taunts of the tank and the occasional phone call from the client.
Until next time
Yours in Yarn,
The Fibreholic

I was going to say "crap" but that would be insensitive.
Fingers crossed it's all working VERY soon.
Seeking solace in the Cleckheaton Country Silk sounds like a wonderful idea.
But on the bright side, there's LOTS of snow to melt, should you need it. :-)
Oh those DHs. Never thinking ahead, never planning.
I'm proud of you for being most irritated by the inability to flush. I would have gone nuts over not having any tea water myself.
You are so funny. I sure hope you are back in working order very soon. We take water and conveniences so for granted until we don't have them. Good luck.
I am sending good water pump vibes your way --
Oh you poor thing! I can't even imagine.... oh wait, maybe.... There was a time about 15 years ago I was in the middle of coloring my hair and the apartment building we lived in at the time shut off the water!!! Yep, dye in my hair and all.... so,, I drive to my in-laws house but oh no, wait, they aren't home!!! I go in the back yard and have to hose off my head with freezing cold water in the garden!!! I ended up with very PURPLE hair and it just wasn't fun! Oh, I hope you get your water back soon!!!
Oh my goodness. I had something terribly helpful to say, but now am cracking up too hard at Kristen's comment to remember it!
I do know how you feel. I lived in Constance Bay and my darling hubby decided to "change" our pump. Everytime I or my son had to "go" we had to drive to the Lighthouse to use the washroom.
